The first annual Rockford Run for Hope 5K to benefit the Haiti Foundation Against Poverty, which was founded by Grand Rapids woman Mallery Thurlow. The money raised is significant and will help fund a school project in Haiti, specifically the money will go toward building a kitchen and a sixth-grade classroom at the Les Bours School in Port au Prince, Haiti. There is a great article in the Rockford Independent telling the story of this great event and the sisters that were behind it.
We provided a fair amount of consulting work before the event and then had the pleasure of timing the event and providing complete results. We look forward to next year too. Mark your calendars for 3/24/2011 — and come one, come all.
