Michiana Timing uses the Jaguar Chip Timing System from Innovative Timing Systems. The system is unique in the industry because it uses nothing on the ground. No mat or ramp to trip over so finishers can cross unimpeded.
Our chip timing services include provision of the chips, real time results, scrolling announcers screen and upload of results to the web after your event.

How it works:
- the competitor wears a chip, most commonly a disposable chip is placed on their bib number, but other options exist including on a bike or bike helmet, shoe, ankle band, etc.
- the finish line has readers that scan for chips — typically three or four readers will pick up each chip and read it multiple times resulting in a complete read rate and because of triangulation, completely accurate times
- times are transmitted in real time to our computers that are monitoring the finish line and real time race results can be displayed to us and to an announcer
- results can be texted if that service is requested
